This task tags Template:WikiProject Biography with |musician-work-group=yes on the talk pages of musicians who are in one of the categories at User:Dreamy Jazz Bot/Task 4.3/musician categories and who are in a year of birth or death category. The bot adds the living parameter and auto assesses using two methods (the first is tried first, then the second) if either Task 4 or Task 4.2 has not already auto assessed / adding the living parameter to this page:

  • The first way is using the rules at User:BU RoBOT/autoassess which in short auto assesses by inheriting the class from other projects. This is only done when all project templates have the same class rating. If there are differing class ratings or the inherited class is not one of the classes the bot allows inheriting for, the bot won't "inherit" the class.
  • The second way only is used when there are no project templates on the page with a defined class. If the said criterion is met, the bot checks if the article is in Category:All stub articles. If it is, then the bot uses ORES to get the ORES article quality prediction. If the prediction is a stub, then the bot will auto assess the article as a stub

If an auto assess value is used for the class parameter, the auto parameter set to "inherit" when inheriting the class or "stub" when the second way is used. If no valid auto assess value is found, the bot simply does not add the class parameter.

This task respects {{nobots}}. The bot does not edit the page if it has edited the page before under this Task 4.3; does not add the banner again, add the living parameter or auto assess if Task 4 or Task 4.2 has edited the page. The bot can be shutdown by deleting or adding content to either the Task 4.3 shutoff page or the main shutoff page. The main shutoff page stops all running tasks. Editors are asked to use the reason why they are stopping the bot as the content they add to the page.
