Beginning in the 19th century, Simpsons department store began decorating the store's front windows with teddy bears, train sets, and drums to spark Christmas spirit and advertise the stores products. This tradition continues today at Hudson's Bay Queen street where crowds come from all over Canada to view the holiday themed decorations in the stores windows front.
