I return to the debate of any cause which transcends the democratic view. Controversy can be illuminating, but arguments cannot be won by the sheer force of majority opinion. Our technological age favors the widest dissemination of news, views and ideas, but cannot guarantee the quality thereof. I am, however, hardly elitist, since I believe in common sense, and the reality of instinct and aspiration over academic or political construction. As fellow-travelers in this troubled world, we have to share our enlightenment with others even when repudiated.
I love contradictions: truth and simplicity are related!
