Synopsis

edit

Westley Little, a meek and mild insurance broker, sets out to impress his girlfriend, Jennifer, with a surprise romantic evening. Unfortunately, he gets shut down and is left feeling embarrassed and exposed. In an effort to win her affection, he plans a weekend getaway in cottage country for them and some friends. This time, however, not only do his plans go off track, he learns a devastating piece of information about his girlfriend, that she's cheating on him with her boss, James, who also happens to be up at the cottage with them. This piece of information sends him over the edge and he decides to enlist the help of some old friends to stage a break-in. Hoping that he can play the hero and impress Jennifer, things go terribly wrong when at the last minute one of his friends can't make it and sends Rick, a shell-shocked war veteran in his place. The weekend getaway doesn’t go as planned, and instead is chock-full of unfortunate, and morbidly amusing events.
