Debbie Keigh is an internet business consultant and former Rescuer, who has made the shift into the role of Coach. I have also made the shift from Victim to Creator. These incredible shifts have changed my life and the lives of others. Having lived the majority of my life in the Karpman Drama Triangle, I was looking for a better way to live and to empower my clients to understand their business issues and to find creative solutions. Nature abhors a vacuum and unless you find something to fill the empty space, you cannot move forward. Enter the empowerment dynamic. This Dynamic is also a triangle but one of a very different, and positive, nature. Instead of being stuck in a vicious cycle of problem solving that repeats and repeats forever, the empowerment dynamic allows you to "shift" into a goal focused triangle. It's so simple and makes such perfect sense that it was an "aha" moment for me. Simple doesn't mean "easy" for this new triangle forces you to evaluate and make choices rather than react to things. Reacting is easy....making choices takes more effort. I now use this new model to work with clients, helping them focus on both short and long-term business goals by coaching them into making choices that move them toward their goals. When they stop reacting to problems and start working toward their clearly defined goals, they create a sound business plan that really works.
