Monarch Espresso Bar is an American craft coffee shop located in downtown Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The business is owned by Paul and Audrey Vermilyea, who are both alumni of The University of Alabama. The coffee shop serves pour overs, drip coffee, espresso, and light food and pastries. The business was started in 2016[1], but [2] In 2017, they ran a successful kickstarter campaign to raise funds to bring the business to fruition.[3][4]
