I am an author, researcher, teacher trainer and teacher. My areas of specializations are Phonology and Phonetics. I am into teaching and research of many branches of English language, literature, and linguistics. I am also immensely contributing in the field of teacher training and teacher education. I have a rich experience in teaching, curriculum development and teacher training at the state and university level. I have trained many teachers of government and private schools of various districts in Karnataka state.

Early Life and Career

I, a native of Bangalore district, Karnataka, am the second son of Prahaladaiah and Lakshmidevamma. I completed my schooling from BEL School, Bengaluru. I studied my graduation in English Literature at Seshadripuram College, Bengaluru. I studied Post Graduation in Education and English Literature form Vijaya Teachers’ College and Bangalore University respectively. I pursued my research in Phonology and Phonetics at Christ University to complete my M.Phil. I am also obtaining my Doctoral degree in 2020 from Christ University, Bengaluru. Currently I am HOD-English at St Joseph’s Evening College, Autonomous, Bengaluru.

I authored four books; A Course in English Language Teaching and Learning (2019), A Course in English Pronunciation (2017), Standard English Grammar and Technical Writing Workbook[1] (2015), and A Bridge Course in English (2015). I have also published numerous research articles in diverse academic disciplines; English Language Teaching, Literature, and Linguistics.
