Ditto Music was started in 2006 by brothers Lee and Matt Parsons who were initially looking for new ways of releasing their own bands music. Ditto was a concept of allowing artists to set up labels, become chart eligible and distribute themselves, without having the backing of an exhisting label. Ditto's first success was Koopa who released through them in January 2007 and are documented as being the first unsigned artist to break to UK top 40 on downloads.

Ditto currently distribute thousands of artists worldwide including Suzi Quattor, Finch, Suddha ( Faithless ) , Prince and Frank Sinatra. They were one of the first companies to distribute unsigned artists to Spotify.

Ditto Music Live ran for 12 months on Sky channel 180 and featured unsigned artists, as well as signed artists like Travis, Feeder and Biffy Clyro.
