International society of protistologists

The International Society of Protistologists is an association of scientists devoted to research on single-celled eukaryotes, or protists. The ISOP promotes the presentation and discussion of new or important facts and problems in protistology, and works to provide resources for the promotion and advancement of this science.[1][2]

Publications

The Society of Protozoologists began its publication of The Journal of Eukaryotic Microbiology in 1954 with the first issue dedicated to the memory of L. L. Woodruff. It has been published uninterrupted since then, promoting the study of protozoa in particular, and protists in general.[1]
