Adanjur A.Singaravel viruthullar (1898-1960) was an Congress leader and a agriculturist from the erstwhile madras presidency.

Political career

Adanjur A.Singaravel viruthullar attracted to politics by his close aide sir P.S.Sivaswami Iyer and continued his political career as the Executive incharge of tanjore district congress committee. He twice elected as the member of Tanjore district board (1949 - 1959).

Charity

Adanjur A.Singaravel viruthullar is known for his charity work in the cavery delta. He donated a 12KM asphalt road for the public use and gave 50+ acers of cultivation land for the welfare of dalit community in delta region.constructed Adanjur mariamman temple.

Personal life

Adanjur A.Singaravel viruthullar was born to a rich land lord Adanjur N.Arumugam viruthullar in Adanjur village near thirukattupalli, Tanjore on 1889 and laterly he got married to his relative Kattammal. Adanjur A.Singaravel viruthullar was the first one in his village to get proper education and he died at the age of 62 on 1960 at Adanjur.
