About me edit

Long time listener, first time caller (as of Jan 2011). Have seen many articles improve over the years and thought I'd lend a hand if/when/where possible. I'm not very vocal, but will kindly suggest things from time to time. Definitely don't want to be the newbie that messes up the flow. Will be very mindful of that and give respect to the current pro editors that know what they're doing.

I've printed out & read through multiple Wikipedia Editor help pages with a highlighter & red pen. Still learning, but practice makes perfect. And thanks to everyone that helped create/maintain those resources. A lot of info out there. Very much appreciated.

I love doing research and will often start with Wikipedia, checking listed resources as well as non-Wikipedia sources. I think, in time, I'll become a valuable contributor. In the meantime, I'll just be doing my best to help where I can without stepping on toes :)

Main tenets edit

Fully lifted from AWWDMBJAWGCAWAIFDSPBATDMTD

  1. Judge not, lest ye be judged.
  2. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
  3. Love thy neighbour as thyself.

(These are all covered by one common goal: the golden rule) [1]

My contributions edit

I'm currently working on a couple new articles and making minor edits to a few live ones based on Wikipedia policies & guidelines. Mainly trying to find/add citations when I have the time. I enjoy doing the research and like to think I'm making Wikipedia more useful. I'm just not a huge fan of figuring out which citation format to use. Many articles seem to use multiple formats. Trying to keep things consistent can be tough.

I am currently researching AMDL Collection and/or AMDL, Inc., which is now Radient Pharmaceuticals Corporation? Also interested in researching James Kofi Annan, winner of the 2008 Frederick Douglass Award.
