I am a post-graduate student at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. My undergraduate degree is in biological science with a minor in psychology. I am currently researching selective attention in jumping spiders under the supervision of Professor Robert R. Jackson, at icipe in Mbita, Kenya.

I am the founder and president of the Reason & Science Society (Canterbury branch).

I am interested in animal behaviour and the neurological basis of behaviour.

I keep a number of pets, including mammals, fish, amphibians and invertebrates.
