Introduction

Don "d" Glossop is a graduate student of anthropology at Tulane University and owner/operator of New Orleans Mistic Botanica. He is studying: kinship in african traditional religions; retention of african tranvestitism in diasporic religion; native indian and african linguistic retentions in francophone spirituals or "praise songs"; gender in the spiritual marketplace; southern rootwork and hoodoo; and ritual space in haitian vodou.
