My major interest is music , Classical first then jazz as well as some other forms, though my real expertise lies in classial music. I have a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of British Columbia. Although I am not employed as a music I still think of myself as one. I still practice the piano daily.

When I was young I listned to the radio constantly. Alwaays classical music and that got me hooked on reading reviews of recorded music. As well I spent many hours in a local library which had its own recording library. So I would listen to one peice of music, read the liner (jacket) notes and follow quuues from the articles there. Some were good, others were awful. So by the time I got to University I had a sizable recording collection as well, I had heard a huge portion of the classical repertoire. I was shocked to find out that most of my fellow students had heard but a small fraction of what I had.

Later I worked in music retail for 10 years. I managed a retail floor with Classical and Jazz recordings as well as Nwe Age and World Beat music, after that I was a buyer for the independent classical and jazz recordings. I have also spent some time working in radio production.

Thats a basic introduction, its not all I'm interested in, nor the only subject I would like to contribute to the Wikipedia, but it seems its where I will start. The pianist Ivan Moravec seems to have no credible page. He should have one I think. 88Fingers 01:08, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
