Koel Bewaren was a pop band based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The band had been founded in 1987 as 'Cafe Blue'. They recorded three demo tapes before releasing their first CD “Lief, Lang en Lenig” in 1996. Lead singer of the band was Dutch actor Tijn Docter. Koel Bewaren split up in 1998.

The band was originally formed in Kudelstaart, Netherlands. The band played own compositions and cover songs in a mixture of soul, blues, ska and rhythm & blues. The band did more than 100 gigs and had won the Grote Prijs van Aalsmeer competition in 1990. The band was one of the most prominent music representatives of Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart.
