Kathmandu

edit

Kathmandu is the capital and largest city in the country of Nepal, and also the nations most populated city.[1] The reason the capital is so overpopulated is because it is the most advanced city in the country with many opportunities. The large population is increasing the air pollution in Kathmandu, making it the most problematic environmental issue in the city.[2] The increase in the number of vehicles is also a major factor in increasing the pollution.[3] According to the Environmental Performance Index, Kathmandu was ranked as one of the most polluted cities in Asia.[4] Respiratory illness is very common and increasing in the city because of the poor air quality.
