Sonja de Sterke was born and raised in The Netherlands and lives in Brisbane, Australia.
Awards
She was awarded a Bachelor and a Masters degree in Visual Arts in photography and works as a Photographer for Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. In 2009 she was awarded the Spirit of Woodford Prize and became runner up in the Illustration category for the Epson AIPP Queensland http://qld.aipp.com.au/aipphome.php?ID=409&cat=News Photography Awards. In 2011 she was AIPP Queensland photographic Artist of the year. She has a permanent display of her work in the new East Wing of the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane and on various locations at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.
