A F Mathew is Associate proffessor of MICA in the field of communication and media studies. He is also a visiting faculty in several premier Institutes across the globe including, the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
Early Life
editAF Mathew hails from a Catholic family based in Cochin. Having done his Graduation in Botany from the University College, he was disillusioned about his future. He decided to learn Sociology from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and passed with Gold Medal. Later he did his Phd from the same institute.
Proffesional Life
editHe worked in a college in Mumbai as a guest lecturer during his Phd days. However he joined, Manipal University as a permanent Faculty. He is known for teaching students, various truth in a straight forward manner. But some students didn't like this and an RSS mob attacked him on 2005. However his students rescued their beloved teacher. Soon he resigned and surprisingly went to MICA, in Ahmadabad, capital of one of the more fascist state: Gujarat.
