Daniel Bustamante is a Chilean born artist who fled the country in the 1980s. He settled in Sheffield, UK, where there was a sizeable community of Chilean refugees. In 1987, he and his brother, Sergio, finished a large (3m by 1.5m) mural depicting human struggle against oppression and hardship. The result of two years’ work, it was installed in Sheffield’s Millennium Gallery in June 2019.
