In memoriam essjay February 8, 2005 - March 4, 2007 edit
I used to visit Essjay's user page because just looking at the images there brought me a sense of Peace. And a sense of my better Self. Perhaps the person God would rather I be. Going there after so long, I find only a desolation, with broken shards of what used to be. In reflecting on all the good he did, and all his persona brought to the project, I wonder if he too was striving to be something better than he was. Grand Illusion now destroyed by fearsome reality.
