My name is Debs and I am in the Upper Sixth at school (my final year).

My particular interests include music and sciences.

At present I have started an article about nucleon emission.

It is possible, though rare, for an unstable isotope to emit a nucleon. A nucleus that is proton-heavy, e.g. lithium-5 can emit a proton directly.

Li-5 -> Li-4 + proton

He-5 -> He-4 + neutron

This is a very unstable isotope. The half-life is 6 x 10^-20 s.
