Ilyas Kaduji new article content ...Producer/director Ilyas Kaduji,(born September 1967 in Manchester, England) Early life He began his career experimenting in traditional model making and special effects in his teens. Later he studied film and classical painting in Manchester where he wrote, directed and produced his first special effects based movie with the help of fellow students. It was 90 minute film with a cast of 5 and shot in and around the campus. He created his own effects including pyrotechnics, traditional matte paining and animatronics. Since those humble beginings he has gone on to work on many major Hollywood and British films. He first fine tuned his creative abilities and got a grasp of digital tools by working in the video gaming industry where for many years he worked on many successful games as a designer and animator. With a long career in visual effects as an artist and supervisor, technical director, animator, matte painter, concept designer and head of 3d effects of many major feature films, including The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Alien vs. Predator, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Lara Croft Tomb, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Johnny English. He was head of 3d effects on Elizabeth I and Shanghai Knights. His career has spanned over 15 years in film, television and video games. In 2009 he moved to directing and producing while continuing to keep a keen hand in the visual effects and design arena. Currently co-directing Katherine of Alexandria, a Roman epic starring Peter O'Toole and Joss Ackland.

From games to Films

His long track record in video games where he first started working for Ocean Software as a designer and animator back in 1992. The list of titles he worked on include the hugely successful film licenses: Jurassic Park 1 and Jurassic Park 2 and The Italian Job. Other titles include: Roll Cage, Carmageddon, Viper, Michael Owen’s World League Soccer, World League Soccer '98, and Mille Miglia. This grounding gave him valuable understanding of of new technology that he now incorporates with his traditional artistry to enhance the films he works on and creates. In 1998 Ilyas helped to create Audiomotion's in-house digital animation and motion capture studio that went on to be Europes largest motion capture facility at the time. In 2010 Ilyas set up his visual effects outfit called Voodoo Cabin. To serve as a visual effects facility for his own productions as well as external films and commercials. Currently Ilyas is also a partner in Amarine Films which he helped co found as an independent film production company in London U.K.
