The Brickcipality of Si-Kladland is a small micronation located in NSW, Australia. It was officially declared a micronation on the 28th of October 2015, but was operational since early August that same year. It is currently ruled as an Holy Commune, headed by the joint heads of the Monkyist Church.
History
editThe Warring Period
When the micronation was first founded, there was a major power struggle that lasted until 29.10.15, known as Jarryd Keith day, in which a total of 5 citizens of the nation shuffled between the role of King. These five citizens ruled as such:
- Rhys O'Connor- The longest reigning king (during the warring period), O'Connor ruled for a total of 2 weeks within the first 3 weeks of the micronation's 'warring period' (the warring period lasted through the majority of October 2015). He introduced a democratic system at the very beginning of his reign, allowing the citizens of the nation to vote and have whomever they wanted as king. He was made the Queen's Regent on the 30.10.15, holding all power while the Queen is not present.
- Lachlan Rowley- Known as a war-monger, Rowley took power democratically, but attempted to remove the right to vote from the constitution. He eventually gave in, and instead passed the title of king to Jarryd Keith. Despite this, he remained a high-ranking commander in the military before the 2016 re-formation of the micronation.
- Jaiden Alfred- The shortest reigning king, Jayden ruled for a total of 3 seconds after being voted in before resigning and passing his power on to Jarryd Keith, who passed it onto Lachlan Rowley (the second time Rowley was made king).
- Jarryd Keith- Keith was king for several days, but was eventually overthrown. He believed this was unfair and attempted to win back power through a lawsuit, but failed. On the 29.10.15 he was deported from the country due to acts of treason and heresy. He has since been allowed back into the micronation and is a recognised citizen. The day is now celebrated each year to commemorate the past leader of the "Farming Party" before his break into insanity.
- Lachlan Reeves- Reeves was made king after the overthrowing of Jarryd, and led the nation out of the warring period. After becoming king, major changes began occurring including new laws, a new and more fair constitution, as well as an increase in citizens and jobs. He was overthrown quickly however, as he gave away power to various people without consulting the citizens.
On 30.10.2015 Si-Kladland was abolished by its own citizens in favour of becoming a farming state, all though at this point in time power was given back to the leader "Queen Joeffry", the possum ruler. In mid-2016 however, the re-forming of the micronation began, officially begin a revolution of industrialisation, political changes, and annexation of more land.
Re-formation
During mid-2016, Si-Kladland's reforming began. Various new political ideas were introduced into the meta, including having a council comprised of all the citizens of the micronation that are able to vote on all new changes being introduced into the micronation. While the queen still has absolute authority, and must be present (or have a regent present) during the council meetings, various issues are able to be solved with bills being passed in rapid succession, allowing the entire government to be updated by the civilians whenever necessary. The only things the council have no right over are declaring wars, annexation of territory, and disruption of the Queen and her regents power. This allowed for the rapid expansion of the micronation, and revitalisation of its reach.
Brickcipality
Due to the threat of Womboist attack and instability, in late 2017, the nation was declared a Holy Commune, later known as a 'brickcipality' (after the native wildlife of the nation) ruled indirectly by the Monkey.
Religion
editThe micronation of Si-Kladland was originally founded on religion. The belief in "Monkyism" played a major part in the development of the micronation, due to the godlike status the queen was held in. The people followed the Queen Joeffry, the Possum Queen that was believed to be a lower god. While the majority of the civilians of the micronation are Monkyists, Si-Kladland is now open to all religions and there is a separation between religion and the state. For people such as year 7s to be allowed to see asylum in the micronation, due to not being permitted tourist visas, still must convert to Monkyism if they wish to stay within the borders of the micronation, unless they are granted citizenship or are willing to serve in the military.
Wildlife
editSi-Kladland is recognizable for a wide range of flora & fauna. These include reknowned plants and animals such as "The Si-Kladland plant", "Bricks", and "Roof Gods".
Geography
editSi-Kladland is split into several states, some containing smaller provinces. All states are separated from each other by Australian-owned land and many provinces within states are separate.
The Central State
The central state is the central location of the micronation, originally entailing the entire country. The Central State is the only location to be completely void of any Australian land cutting it off into smaller pieces. The provinces include:
- The Royal District - Home to the palace, the majority of national meetings, and core of the micronation. Named as such due to the monarchic past of Si-Kladlan
- Fredrickstead 2 electric boogaloo - Leading agricultural area of the micronation, owned by Rojuano Fredricksson
- Fredrickstead - Largest privately owned property in the micronation, inherited by Rojuano Fredricksson by his brother Ruben after his graduation.
Das Kriegerdenkmal
The War Memorial as it was originally known is a state & province, located further away from the Central State then any other location of the micronation.
Handball Courts
- Phamgrad - currently disputed by various year 8s. Multiple conflicts have been fought over Phamgrad, named after Andy Pham, the 4unit king.
- The Iron Curtain - used as a backup handball court, named so due to the thick forest of roofs and poles used as rebounds. Also home to a miniature semi-province, "The Trench".
Minor Exclaves
- The Political Exclave - A bench located within the core of the IA Lawn, in the "Bench" area. Originally used as an embassy between the Bench and Si-Kladland before relations were cut off. The political exclave no longer sees use more than a few times per year.
- Brownburg - A bench located in between the Handball Courts and the Political Exclave, named after the glorious hero known as "Michael Brown". While being De Jure property of Si-Kladland, Brownburg has never been used by a citizen of the micronation due to its location and lack of facilities.
- Musti's Corner - located only 15 metres from the Central State and used to seek shelter from strong winds and light rain. Close proximity to the Central State means that citizens can be quickly evacuated and provided with protection from natural disasters. Was temporarily privately owned by Mustafa Bandukwala, until eventual annexation into Fredrickstead on 24.5.18.
- Musti's Corner 2 Electric Boogaloo except it's owned by Will this time - Located in the art block, serves the same purpose as Musti's Corner as a safe haven. Privately owned by Rojuano Fredricksson (despite its name).
