FAMILY
Darksongbird has 2 brothers; one older and the other younger. He loves them both but in very different ways. He also has a step sister who he has never met named Camielle. His family on his mother's side is rather large consisting of 3 uniquely-gifted aunts, an uncle who passed away before Darksongbird's birth and many, many cousins. As of January 2018 he hasn't met any of his grandparents either. The ones on his mother's side died before he was born. The ones on his father's side are possibly alive but he has never come into contact with them. This user grew up without his biological father being heavily involved in his life. As a child he had some contact and his influence has had both positive and negative effects. He lost his favorite aunt who was one of his best friends in 2014.

Mariah Carey is much respected by Darksongbird because she doesn't just make music strictly for the charts; on each of her studio albums she taps into her emotional side too. Her music generally touches on love and the emotions that come with it. She along with Whitney Houston were some of the first artists that this user recalls singing loudly and proudly with on the radio as a youngster. As Darksongbird attended high school he started to write poems and lyrics of a personal nature. Vanessa Carlton was one of the most important artists that shaped his way of writing and thinking for a while. His lyrics (which swim into topics with depth) are highly indebted to her often moody style of writing.

FAVORITE THINGS
His 3 favorite colors are yellow, red and blue, favorite number is 11, he likes to wear bright colors and prefers his personal items to generally have nice colors to them also. His favorite subjects in school were Math, English, Art, Music and Sociology. Music is one of his favorite things but surprisingly he doesn't have a favorite song in particular. His favorite music genre of all-time is contemporary R&B. When he does socialize he likes to be around people he can trust and be himself with. His favorite hobbies are singing, writing lyrics, writing reviews, expanding his mind with knowledge that interests him and teaching others what he knows (if they're ready to learn!). He also loves to inspire people and take care of the downtrodden.
