About edit

My name is Daniel Pickup, and I am currently studying Design for Digital media and the University of Hull Scarborough Campus. I also work at the Valley bar in Scarborough as a prospective bar manager and create graphic design material for a brewery landlord of the Valley Bar also owns. I am a percussionist, and have played in many bands over the space of 20 years. These bands include Scalby School Orchestra's during my education as secondary school, and during this time I was also a member of the Scarborough Music Centre. During my time at Music Centre I started as a drummer in the Junior Concert Band, eventually making my way into the EASY (Eastern Area Schools Youth) Concert Band and then into the flagship band for the organisation, the EASY Jazz Orchestra. During my time in the Scalby School Orchestra's (a concert band and a jazz band) and the Music Centre, I had the opportunity to play at many high profile venues, including the National Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London as part of schools music festivals, where bands from all around the UK were showcased and competed for the chance to play at the Schools Prom at the Royal Albert Hall. In 2004 while I was a member, EASY Jazz Orchestra achieved this and played in the 2004 School Prom at the Royal Albert Hall in London. I am currently a member of TFI Music, a covers band who specialise in 60's to Modern day covers of popular songs.

The module I am currently studying is Phycology of Internet Behaviour, lead by Toni Sant. During this module I intend to edit the Online gambling page to create a more extensive description of subjects and issues related to Online Gambling. The subject I intend to delve further into is issues relating to addiction of Online Gambling, which would include issues in relation to legislation regarding online gambling and elements of Internet Addiction Disorder.

During the process of looking through the existing Online gambling page, I have discovered that there has been a lot of information I could easily find and add to the Page. Therefore, I have added section such as information on the UK National Lottery, UK legislation regarding online gambling and the laws of remote gambling and sections about mobile apps that can be downloaded to a smartphone for gambling on-the-go.
