Psorothamnus scoparius is a legume adapted to arid climates and sandy soils that is native to New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas in North America. Late summer rainfall can stimulate prolific blossoms and significant honey flow in fields of Psorothamnus Scoparius. Other names for this plant are Dalea Scorparia, Broom Dalea, and Purple Sage. The flowers yield bright orange pollen and mild, light colored honey.
