The basics
editWikipedia fundamentals
edit- The Five Pillars – If you are guided by the pillars you can't go wrong. Read them. Read them again. Wait a day or two, then read them again. They are that important. (I've been editing for 4.5+ years and I still read the pillars every couple of months.) Danger (talk)
Questions
editIf you have any questions, ask them here. That way you'll be able to find the answers easily later without looking through talk page archives. You can also ask questions on my talk page and I will move a copy of the discussion here. Danger (talk)
Projects
editIf you have any projects that you'd like to tackle, tell me about them here and I'll tailor the lessons toward helping you with them. Danger (talk)
DR workshop
editHere I'd like to discuss your experiences with dispute resolution in a general way. If you'd like to go into details that you don't feel comfortable sharing on-wiki, send me an email. Danger (talk)
So, first question, have you ever been involved dispute that was resolved to the reasonable satisfaction of all parties? It's okay if you haven't, then I'll have find a few to use as examples. Danger (talk) 06:51, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- Sure. But I'd probably be violating my topic ban if I were to direct you to the original discussion. Wikifan12345 (talk) 07:09, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
I can tell you I have been involved in conflict disputes that were resolved amicably. But sorting through my edits is quite time-consuming but you could check the archives at Israel and the apartheid analogy and Israeli-Palestinian conflict if you're that curious. Although conflict disputes there tend to be more heated on a general level than other areas of wikipedia. Wikifan12345 (talk) 00:49, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
