  • Chen, J., Lin, Z., Li, La. et al. Ten years of China’s new healthcare reform: a longitudinal study on changes in health resources. BMC Public Health 21, 2272 (2021). https://doi.org/10.1186/s12889-021-12248-9[1]
    • This is an longitudinal study on the development of healthcare resources in China from 2009 to 2018. It helps fill the gap in some of the claims' citation.
  • Li L. The challenges of healthcare reforms in China. Public Health. 2011 Jan;125(1):6-8. doi: 10.1016/j.puhe.2010.10.010. Epub 2010 Dec 17. PMID: 21168176; PMCID: PMC7118747.[2]
    • This article outlines the challenges in reforming Chinese health care. It could be used in the history section.
  • Shi L. Health care in China: a rural-urban comparison after the socioeconomic reforms. Bull World Health Organ. 1993;71(6):723-36. PMID: 8313490; PMCID: PMC2393531.[3]
    • This article fills the gap in citation that is present in the history section about the rural/urban healthcare disparity.
  • Li, Xi, et al. "Quality of primary health care in China: challenges and recommendations." The Lancet 395.10239 (2020): 1802-1812.[4]
    • This adds more depth and useful detail to the article about the primary care system under Chinese healthcare.
  • Song, Yan, and Ying Bian. "Gender differences in the use of health care in China: cross-sectional analysis." International journal for equity in health 13 (2014): 1-6.[5]
    • This is a cross-sectional study of the gender and class difference between healthcare usage in China, which I think will add an intersectional lens to this article.
  • Zhan, Heying Jenny. "Aging, health care, and elder care: Perpetuation of gender inequalities in China." Health Care for Women International 26.8 (2005): 693-712.[6]
    • This article investigates the gender inequality that lies in elder care and healthcare in China. I recognize this source is a bit dated and I'll try to find a source that is more recent.
  • Zhu, Xuequan, et al. "Health care and mental wellbeing in the transgender and gender-diverse Chinese population." The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology 7.5 (2019): 339-341.[7]
    • This study explores the healthcare and psychological wellness of non-binary Chinese population. I think it will fall well under the gender and healthcare section and provides a gender-diverse perspective.

Outline of proposed changes

edit

The sources in the bibliography will be used mostly in the History and System reform section to back up some of the un-cited claims.

- Source 4 will go under the section about primary care. This section is lacking citations and I will fact-check some of its claims.

- Source 1, 2, 3 will mostly be used in History and System reform to assist un-cited statements.

- This wikipedia article could benefit from a gender and healthcare section. I will use source 5, 6, and 7 for that. In this section, I would like to address the gender inequality in healthcare in China and the experience of non-binary individuals' experiences.
