Origins and Objectives edit
The Autonomous University of Mexico City (UACM) was created in 2001 as an innovative public project, to attend the huge demand for higher education created by economical and demographic development at Mexico City, It has around 10,000 students (both sexes) in five campuses at different points of the Federal District (or D.F.) and in its 9 year development has consolidated as an option for higher education with excellent academic levels, with an active community of students, and professors, oriented to develop new knowledge areas to attend to problems related with science, technology, culture and education.
