DOMENICA are a band, that was formed in Athens, Greece, in 1994. Their first discographic appearances, were several participations in albums of various artists, followed by their debut album, "Useless clocks" (Ahrista rologia), in 1999. The next release received the audience's enthusiasm and its positive reception in 2002, with the title "In the roar of the street" (Mesa sti voui tou dromou). The homonymic song became a hit and it is being played up to today. In March 2004, Domenica had their third release, "Histories for small and big" (Istories gia mikrous kai megalous). The song "Some more life" (Ligi zoi akomi) became also hit and was rewarded. In 2007 the album "A hundred times that way" (Hilies fores etsi) is until this moment their last discographic creation. The band is now at the studio and working on new songs with new, louder sound, with dynamic guitars. Domenica have set to music a certain number of poems by Napoleon Lapathiotis and Mitsos Papanikolaou. In 2003 Domenica were nominated and won the Arion music award for the "Best band in the art-song" (entechno). In April 2005, they were once more nominated and won the Arion music awards for the "Best alternative album". In June 2005 in Mad music awards, they won the award for the "Best rock videoclip".
