DKaufmann4492 is a native of Boyertown, Pennsylvania. In 1987 he began studying Taekwon-Do in Boyertown. He attained the rank of 3rd Gup which is one of the last color belts in Taekwon-Do. He served as a wheeled vehicle mechanic with the 200th Military Police Company (EPW), Maryland Army National Guard. While assigned to the 200th MP Co, his Unit was mobilized and sent to the Military District of Washington; the Pentagon for the 911 attacks on the United States. He served as security in the D-Ring of the Pentagon, ensuring the Physical Security and safety of personnel and classified documents. In 2005 He requested and received a release from the National Guard and Enlisted in the Active Army. He was medically retired after 21 years, 8 months, and 9 days of military service.
