DIFFERENT CLOUD ART
Different Cloud Art was developed in December 2020 by model and artist Víctoría Ańa.
Though a talented artist, she admits not quite knowing how the idea came about. She creates wall hangings from photographs. She credits the inspiration for the idea from her mum, who passed away 1994. The strapline 'Art with Heart' comes from the fact that the finished product was created from an original photograph. She adds 'many people will spend money on the high Street or in home stores buying pictures off, for example, flowers, I can create a similar (if not better) piece leaving your photograph at the heart. The finished product is a wall hung piece or painting but you know what remains at the heart. One of my first creations was turning my mum into an angel. My mum was amazing so it was the obvious choice. I now sleep next to a picture of an angel, but the truth is, it's my mum, and that's really how it started'.
Víctoría is from the southside of Glasgow. She has 2 children, who along with the dog, have also had the Different Cloud treatment. She has a huge love of music and this too is often reflected in her work.
Victoria came to public attention during the CoVid pandemic, in which she challenged a teacher who had encouraged parents to not embark on home schooling. She was praised for standing up to him by saying 'regardless on your thoughts on home schooling, whether you are for or against it, I find it most odd why a man in a job within education would actively discourage it? For some children this just is not option'.
Víctoría is also a sufferer of both T1 Diabetes and Endometriosis and admits that it too has had an 'impact on her mental health', adding 'my art has made a massive difference and has been the exact distraction i have needed at times', if you too suffer from stress or anxiety feed a passion, not the illness'.
