I am a software architect who has been actively developing scientific and systems software since 1961, hence the user name "Cybernaut61".
I have an MS in mechanical engineering from Rice University, and I began my engineering career as a rocket scientist for NASA in the Apollo program.
I joined Wikipedia specifically to correct the article on Durkheim's anomie, because I have been writing a book in which this topic is a major theme. The most recent draft of this book (about 4 years old) is available on my website.
