The Loners are an American nu metal band from Knoxville, Tennessee, formed in 2006. The Loners consist of 4 members. The line-up includes Tony Jardine, Tom McMorgan, Jason Moore, and Cody Hughes.
Formed in winter of 2006, they produced their first demo album, Untold Message, in 2006. In 2007, The band produced there first studio album, The Inverse Of Life. The album, along with their third album in 2008, Infidelity, did not feature drummer Cody Hughes. In 2009, they produced their fourth album, 2·Face, which featured the current member line-up. With many other notable albums, they have produced 3 studio albums (another coming in mid-2010, 1 EP, one live album, one compilation album, and several unreleased material. The band has released one DVD album in 2009, with a mix of all of their music videos, but no live footage, called Dust.
Formation and early years (2005 - early-2006)
editIn late 2005, Jardine and McMorgan joined together in in a band consisting of 5 other people. The name was disputed among members, and came down to "Sling" and "Slingshot," which they voted on Sling. The band, Sling, wrote lyrics, and even made covers for albums, but never actually recorded. The band gradually fell apart less than half a year after the formation. Jardine said "We wrote at least a hundred songs. We never recorded anything but we made a bunch of booklets and stuff." Later, Jardine and Moore joined the band Publik Punks. At first, they did the same thing as what Sling did, Write lyrics and design covers. Later, however, they started recording and produced their first EP, Blurry Answers.
2005's, Blurry answers consists of 6 tracks, all which appear on Untold Message. The tracklist was "No Time For Me," "Inverted," "Be With You," "I Am the Victim," "You Don't Like Me," and "No You Don't." The album is not labeled for resale and has a length of 31:07.
Untold Message (late-2006)
editThe newly formed band began writing lyrics in late-2006. After writing only 6 songs, The band refused to produce an EP, and decided to add the 6 tracks from there previous album. With 12 tracks on the album, they added 2 more, one instrumental, and one with a second guitar added. It was produced threw Lone Records, and is considered a demo album. The album has 2 versions produced, one original issue, and one deluxe edition. The deluxe edition features 3 bonus tracks, all of which are remixes
