Paying homage to the country that has adopted and taken care of you is the dream of every immigrant. Minu Bhatia did just that by crocheting the largest-ever made Crotched Canadian Flag. This historical art was displayed for two years on Canada Day before waiting for a final holding spot. The 60 kg Canadian flag spans over 74 square meters and has broken several world records. Including the Limca book of records, the Asia book of record and the India book of records. Cite error: The <ref> tag name cannot be a simple integer (see the help page).[nb 1]

The massive crocheted Canadian flag is displayed at a Canadian park.

Minu Bhatia started her journey just after the birth of her son in 2016. The project continued underdevelopment for another 18 months.

The culmination of her vision materialized in the form of a meticulously hand-stitched, colossal Canadian flag, diligently crocheted over 18 months. Minu Bhatia worked sometimes only at night while her son slept, or sometimes for eight hours a day.Cite error: The <ref> tag name cannot be a simple integer (see the help page).[1] Spanning an impressive six meters by 12 meters and weighing a remarkable 60 kilograms, this awe-inspiring creation is a testament to Bhatia's deep admiration for her adopted homeland.

Minu Bhatia found inspiration to work on the piece while listening to Bollywood interviews during her hours of crocheting. Moreover, her daughter served as a constant companion during the hours of crocheting, engaging in heartfelt conversations that enriched their bond. After her pregnancy, Minu Bhatia found crocheting a comfortable and beneficial practice.

This is a testament to an immigrant's love for their country who is looking for a permanent home but still stays immaculate.
