User:Crimsonraptor/AMNH Pictures!

Right. A lot of prehistoric articles need new images. Therefore, when I go to the AMNH, I will bring my camera and take pictures of fossils that we need.

Here's the list so far. Feel free to add things as you please.

  1. Troodon (quick update, these are teeth---but I'm not sure if they're on display or not)
  2. Mastodonsaurus model? Asked the experts for accuracy, descision still pending Likely copyrighted
  3. Hadrosauroid mummies? Maybe

Other Museums edit

It ain't just about the AMNH...as I've discovered...

New Jersey State Museum edit

They've renovated their paleo section, more stuff.

  1. Icarosaurus fossil
  2. Hypsognathus fossil and model
  3. Mastodon? Worth a shot

Rutgers Geology Museum edit

DONE! Photos of:

  1. Grallator trackway and hypothetical model
  2. Yet another mastodon
  3. Skulls of Allosaurus and Styracosaurus
  4. "Megalosauropus" footprint
  5. Sauropod leg
  6. Fossilized walrus tusks (really!)

#The fluorescent Franklin/Stirling minerals? Not paleontology, but we could use some more pictures

  1. Notes from a nice lecture by Jason Schein, assistant curator of the New Jersey State Museum. The Beartooth Butte Formation (Devonian) and the Lance Formation. Plus those bones from a giant, unnamed Argentinian sauropod that the preppers in the ANS have been cleaning for ages...he's rooting for the name Australotitan. Nice.

Will get those up ASAP!

If you feel we might need a bit of debating on whether we need such an image or not, go to the Discussion page and we can slug it out there :)
