The Lorain County Vocal Troupe Created in 2003, the Lorain County Vocal Troupe (originally the "Lorain County Jubilee Singers" or more casually called the "L.C.J's") is a revival of the 1860's Jubilee Singers and has created a sucessfull concert series in local diners and the living rooms of its patrons. A hit among local church's traditional wednesday night spaghetti dinners, they have recently expanded their audience into a younger generation of buckeyes performing both negro spirituals and classical hits such as a choral arrangement of the "toreador" aria from Bizet's opera "Carmen". They may also be noted for their improv arrangement of the popular Coldplay classic, "Green Eyes", upon a request from a local elderly kibitzer. The ensemble's motto quite embodies the group's outgoing and unstoppable attitude to change the general outlook on vocal music in the back woods of Ohio. "L.C.V.T.!! Just sing it!"
