(1974-not dead yet)
I am working/have worked in private industry, the military and the public sector, in various fields including communications technology, gas turbine engines and other aircraft accessories, management consulting, chemical detection, and chemical risk management. I'm an early adopter, and enjoy drinking the proverbial kool-aid on occasion. I use both Macs and PCs and my ideal OS would combine the best of both worlds. I eat organic, when I can, and I dislike all types of waste; I think we need to be more respectful of the environment overall - the whole "seven generations" idea. I have lived in three cities in two provinces, and have toured all but one province and many countries in Europe and the Caribbean - there are things to learn and admire everywhere - but still my favourite part of any vacation is turning onto my winding, tree-lined street. I don't like witnessing abuse on a political-social-economic level, which makes me middle of the road politically, perhaps a little to the left (but typically leaning opposite whichever party is in power to a degree directly proportional to their idiocy and tyranny). I also like to get involved with the community (without being in the spotlight), to help maintain/ensure justice in the system.
Accordingly, my personal motto is sempere equilibris - it probably isn't valid latin, but close enough for me!
