My name is Mark Baumann. I am a Washington State, U.S.A., family law attorney and mediator, and director of the Conflict Science Institute (formerly Integrative Client Counseling Institute). Conflict science is deeply informed by Patricia Crittenden's Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment and Adaptation (DMM), and sciences in the field of Interpersonal Neurobiology founded by Daniel Siegel. In addition to obtaining a law degree, I have completed studies in Interpersonal Neurobiology (Portland State University, 2013) and four attachment science measures from the Family Relations Institute, the Toddler Care Index (2019), Preschool Attachment Assessment (2014, 2017), and Adult Attachment Interview (2015-2017) and Transition to Adulthood Attachment Interview (2019). I completed the Adult Attachment Projective training with Carol George in 2022, and the Family Attachment Interview from the Cambridge Centre for Attachment (2024).
