edit

Shaheed begins with a sweeping view of the desert. A weary traveler is pushing on through a sandstorm along with his mule. He sees a signboard up ahead signalling towards a town or a country called "Al-Watan" (translation: The Homeland). He makes his way in to Al-Watan and we find out that it is the year 1922.

He requests to meet with the leader of the people living there and is greeted with generosity and kindness.
