As a scientist my specialties include physics, chemistry, pharmacology, and physiology.
As a hobbyist my interests include computers (hardware and programming), American and international ethnic folk music, running (long distance), and reading as much of everything as possible.
I started editing Wikipedia for the first time to add some clarification to an article for one of my favorite folk songs. I recently decided to get serious about Wikipedia editing in order to help improve the scope and quality of articles on pharmacology and related disciplines. I hope this makes Wikipedia a more useful source for those studying up on the subjects I contribute to.
