Portion used

A single frame from the film/broadcast/media concerned: because the image is a screenshot, the entire image is needed to place the image in context with relation to the work from which it is sourced, and to accompany any relevant commentary given in the associated article.

Low resolution?

The screenshot is of sufficient resolution for commentary and identification but lower resolution than the original film/broadcast or media. Copies made from it will be of inferior quality, unsuitable as artwork on unathourised versions or other uses that would compete with the commercial purpose of the original artwork.

Purpose of use

Section. The image is used for identification and clarifcation in the context of critical commentary of the work from which the screenshot is taken. It makes a significant contribution to the user's understanding of the article, which could not practically be conveyed by words alone. The image is placed at the beginning of a section discussing the work, to help the user quickly identify the work and know they have found what they are looking for.Use for this purpose does not compete with the purposes of the original work, a single low-resolution frame, being of comparativly low commerical value.

Replaceable?

Bernard is a Republican and a supporter of George W. Bush.[1] She gave $1,000 to Bush-Cheney in the 2004 GOP primary.

This is also being used on the entry for actor to illustrate the type of motion picture roles he was being offered at the time of career. It is assumed that this is a fair use of the image.
