I was born on May 31, 2000 and I live in the small town of Sultan, WA. I attend Everett Community College as a running start student where I am studying to get my degree in political science to eventually go to law school and become an attorney. I have been competing in pageants since 2011 and am the former 2015 ANTSO Jr. National Teenager. I have been playing piano for 10 years, I am a varsity volleyball player, state track and field high jumper and am a member of my high schools National Honor Society. I have lived in Washington for my whole life with my dad who is a pastor, my mom, my sister and three brothers.

Article Critique edit

I visited the Sultan, Washington page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: its old links, its completeness, and its neutrality.

Links edit

One of the things I noticed when looking through the Sultan, WA Wikipedia entry is that it contains old links to the Sultan Schools pages. A while ago the schools changed their websites and now have different web addresses to these new websites. The Sultan, WA Wikipedia page has not been updated to match the new websites so the links continue to take you to the old school websites.

Completeness edit

As I look through the very little Sultan, Wa page I notice that it doesn’t have an attractions section. Not all city pages have an attractions section, but Sultan is passed through very often in order to get to Stevens pass and the Sultan Bakery has become a pretty famous place for travelers to stop on their way up the pass. There is nowhere in this article that mentions the bakery or a place for it.

Neutrality edit

In the “about Sultan, Wa” section in the very beginning of the article there are references to the logging event that happens at the sultan Shindig. After it is mentioned it has its own sentence about the loggers being able to cut their own wood in the spring. This portion must have been written by someone who has a bond with the loggers, because this is not a neutral statement to make. It obviously has a heavy logger influence.

Summary edit

I would say this page is pretty good. This article has not been edited in a while making some of the links old, but still usable. Sultan, Washington is a very small town with not much in it, and most of the important things have been covered in this article. Since Sultan is such a small town there are not many people who take interest in the page making the article have biased in certain places.
