Reed Noss

Professor Reed Noss is currently the Provost Distinguished Research Professor in the field of Conservation Science at the University of Central Florida. Among this title, he is also an elected Fellow for the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and has recently served as the Vice-Chair of a committee for the U.S. Climate Change Science Program. He has over 300 scientific publications and is recognized as one of the 500 most commonly cited authors in all fields worldwide. [1]

Education

Noss earned his bachelor's of science in the school of education from the University of Dayton, Ohio in 1975. In the following year, he attended the Graduate School of Education at Antioch College, Ohio and completed 15 hours of graduate outdoor education. He later attended the University of Tennessee and earned his Master's in Science in Ecology in 1979. Noss spent the fowwoling years working in the field of ecology and conservation as wildlife management and specialist positions in Ohio and eventually Florida. From 1984-1988 Noss attended the University of Florida, and earned his P.hD in wildlife ecology. [2]
