Knowledge Based Decision Making in management is the process of using organizational Knowledge Management to support strategic decision making in gaining competitive advantages. Knowledge based decision making is fostered by Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) of an organization. Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) are two processes that support functions of Supply Chain Management (SCM), Operations Management (OM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). OLTP and OLAP aid the capturing of transactional data of an organization to assist in strategic decision making and building business intelligence [1].
