Charles Ngusya Nguna, Born in Kitui District hospital[1] on 19th Nov 1982 to Peter Nguna Ngusya and Regina Nzambi Nguna is a Kenyan politician and a father of 2, spouse to Hellen Mwende Makau. Formerly married to Christine Kalondu Mualuko and divorced in 2015.Brother to Anastacia Ndungi Nguna and David Mutisya Nguna. His father was a secondary school teacher in Matinyani Secondary school and mother untrained primary school teacher before they migrated to Greece[2] in 1982.He was left by parents and most of his childhood life raised up by both paternal and maternal grandmothers and grandfathers in Kiio village in Mwingi Kitui county.

Political life

He is the current Member of Parliament for Mwingi West Constituency in Kitui County[3] since 2017 to date.

Education

He was among the best performing students in Migwani primary school between the year 1997-2000 and scored an A-. Attained a GPA 3.591 United States International University. Between September 2001 and August 2004 he attained a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration, Finance Option. In July 2007 to 2009 he attained a masters in International Business Economics, while he attained a Masters of Arts in International Business Economics.

Member of Catholic Men association( CMA) in Nairobi archdiocese at Consolata shrine[4] and a member of Consolata Small Christian community in Consolata shrine parish.Member of small christian community of St.Augustine,kiio parish Kitui diocese.

Work Experience

On September 2014- October 2015 Hon Charles Nguna Served as Station Finance Head Etihad Airways where his responsibilities included preparations, analyzing and controlling of annual budgets for different cost centers. Providing support to all cost centers by analyzing, reviewing and identification of areas of cost reductions, operational improvement, annual budget processing and periodic analysis of operations performance. Preparing and maintaining financial records using ERP (Oracle applications) in all Modules. Payroll preparations and maintenance using Sage software. Developing external relationships with contracts such as auditors, banks, Revenue authority and suppliers. Safeguarding assets and maintaining asset registrar. Keeping abreast of changes in Financial regulations and legislation while ensuring compliance in Tax filing and corporate governance.
