Major General John W. Holly

John William Holly (born 23 August 1951) is a retired Major General in the United States Army, senior executive in the defense industry and Managing Director of JH London Associates Ltd. After a distinguished career, he left active service in the United States Army in 2006,[1] and became the President and Managing Director of Analytical Services Inc. (ASI). In 2008, after the acquisition of ASI by ASRC Federal,[2] he joined Lockheed Martin Corporation, first serving as the Vice President for Missile Defense Systems,[3] then as the Chief Operating Officer for Lockheed Martin UK.[4] In December of 2014, he was selected as the Chairman of the UK Atomic Weapons Establishment Management Ltd.[5] In 2016, he established JH London Associates Ltd, a botique consultancy focused on advising C-Suites on high-risk, high-consequence activities.[6]

Military Career

Holly entered commissioned service in the United States Army in 1973 upon graduation from the US MIlitary Academy, West Point, New York. The early portion of his career was spent in operational assignments in the 2d Armored Cavalry Regiment and the 77th Armor Regiment. During the later part of his career, he served as the Program Director for the US National Missile Defense Program and as the Deputy Director of the US MIssile Defense Agency.[7]

Corporate Career

While serving at ASI, the company expanded to over 350 employees.[8] He then joined Lockheed Martin Corporation in 2008 as VIce President for Huntsville Opertions. In 2009, he became the VIce President for Missile Defense Systems at the Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company.[9] In 2013, he took on the position of Chief Operating Officer for Lockheed Martin UK, which he held until 2016. Durting this time, he also served as the Chairman of the UK Atomic Weapons Establishment Management Ltd (AWE ML).[10] Following his retirement from Lockheed Martin, he founded JH London Associates Ltd, a botique consultancy which advises executive teams on leadership, risk and trans-Atlantic business operations.[11] Additionally, he is a Director of eCommodities PLC, where he serves as the Deputy Chairman.
