Introduction

Chandeep Singh is an Indian Para- Athlete. Singh competes in different type of like Taekwondo , Swimming and Skating. Chandeep Singh represented India in Taekwondo at World Level and Singh represents Jammu & Kashmir at National Level in Taekwondo, Swimming. Chandeep is ranked World number 3 in Plus-75kg K-41 category for Taekwondo. Chandeep started representing India in 2018 in Various international Taekwondo championship and soon on 5-February-2019, Chandeep Singh became 1st Indian Para-Taekwondo to win a silver medal in World Para-Taekwondo Championship. *Singh* is also a 1st Indian para-taekwondo athlete who has won silver medals in world Para-Taekwondo championships consequently.

Achievements

Chandeep Singh is the first Indian Para-Taekwondo Athlete to win a silver medal in world Peru Taekwondo championship in 2019 for the first time in the history of India. Chandeep Singh repeated this milestone again in 2021 and by doing so he became first ever Indian athlete to win two silver medals in two consecutive world Para Taekwondo championships.

  • Chandeep has won 4 International Gold Medals for India in Taekwondo and One bronze medal for India in Taekwondo and 2 Silver Medal in 8th and 9th World Para Taekwondo Championships.
  • Chandeep Singh has also won national Gold Medal in Taekwondo and Swimming while representing his state Jammu & Kashmir

Sports History

Chandeep Singh started is sports career with skating back in 2011 after he met within a electric accident due to which he lost his both arms. In skating, Chandeep represented in many District Championships, State Championships , CBSE North Zone Championships and National’s. Chandeep has been State Champion in Skating and 2017. He set a world record in Golden Book of World Records and Assist Book of World Records as "Worlds Fastest 100 Meters Para Skater"

In 2018, Chandeep switched to Taekwondo in which he became state champion and national champion . And he started representing India at International Level.

Chandeep Singh is also a National Gold and Silver Medalist in Swimming. He became national Gold and silver medallist while representing J&K in 20th national para-swimming championship
