HMS Mars was a 12-pounder armed 32 gun frigate of the Royal Navy. Ordered and commissioned during the Seven Years War the ship would see service during the last year of the conflict. She would continually see service, serving in the Caribbean during the American War where she would engage French and American privateers. She was again reactivated for service during the French Revolutionary Wars when she was sent to the Mediterranean to ensure British interests in the region.
