Cassaundra R. Leier (born August 20th, 1982) is an organizational researcher, presently pursuing her PhD at Arizona State University in organizational communication.

Early Life

Cassaundra (Casey) Leier was born in Upland, California.

University Education

In 2006, Leier was awarded a bachelor's degree, with departmental honors, in psychology by the California State University of San Bernardino (CSUSB). In 2008, she was awarded a master's degree in organizational psychology from CSUSB. Currently, Leier is pursuing her PhD in organizational communication at Arizona State University (ASU).

Research Interests

Leier's research interests are devoted to studying work, and the role of work in human life. Additional interest resides in studying computer-mediated communication (CMC) and the impact of technology on human socialization processes.

Research Accomplishments

As a part of ASU's 10,000 Solutions project, Leier et al., (2011) published a white paper which proposed methods for increasing social connectedness on college campuses with the use of social media.
